The main use is in oilfield drilling and completion equipment
Ring Joint Gaskets were originally developed for high-pressure/high-temperature applications in the petroleum industry, and are mainly used in oilfield drilling and completion equipment. However, today, this product series can also be found on valves and piping system components, as well as some high-integrity pressure vessel joints.
The standard ring joints produced by Ring Joint Gaskets Manufacturer can be divided into 3 groups:
Style R
Both oval and octagonal shapes can be used, and both types can be interchanged on modern flat-bottom grooved flanges. The standard R-ring joint is manufactured according to API 6A and ANSI Bl 6.20 size/grade.
The oval profile provides the original ring joint design. The octagon is an adaptation of the oval design.
Style RX
RX type is the pressure oil supply interface of the standard R-type ring joint. Since the RX is designed to fit the same groove design as the standard style R, the joints are interchangeable.
The modified design uses a pressure excitation effect, which improves the efficiency of the seal as the internal pressure of the system increases.
Style BX
The BX type pressure excitation ring joint manufactured according to API 6A is designed for pressurized systems with pressures up to 20,000 psi. After the BX type gasket is installed correctly, the flange faces can be brought into virtual face-to-face contact, which means that the gasket is completely captured by the inner diameter and outer diameter.
All BX gaskets have a pressure balance hole to ensure uniform pressure, which may stay in the groove.
Quality Assurance Manufacturing
All ring joints of Non-Asbestos Gaskets Factory are made of fully traceable materials and can be provided to NACE specifications upon request. Each product is marked with a style, API license number, material reference number, and unique Salmarcon material identification number, marked with low stress. From material source to factory certification to final supply, this comprehensive and comprehensive traceability is an important part of the company's strict quality assurance procedures and exceeds the requirements of API 6A PSI 4.
material
The gasket material should be selected to suit the conditions of use. It is always recommended that the gasket material is softer than the mating flange. The following table lists the most popular ring joint materials with the recommended maximum hardness and the designation specified in API 6A.
